Meg Purser is a highly experienced and effective corporate communication practitioner who has won awards from the Public Relations Institute of Australia and the Society of Business Communicators.

She specialises in providing integrated communication advice and programs that help organisations in the private, public and community sectors achieve their desired position.

Specialising in issue management, community engagement and positioning programs, Meg is highly regarded for her extensive knowledge, connectivity and understanding of audience perception that provides clients with timely and effective strategies and implementation plans.

She began working with Purser Corporate Communication in 2000 and became the Managing Director in 2012. In earlier work, she managed media relations for Charles Sturt University , Peach Advertising and for Port Waratah Coal Services. Meg also worked as the course co-ordinator and part-time lecturer in public relations at the University of Newcastle. She has also provided guest lectures at TAFE and regional community colleges and provides in-house training and education in business communication, writing and media relations.

Meg has also spent most of her professional life donating time and skills as a board member to a number of organisations including Throsby Basin Business Chamber, Hunter Manufacturing Awards ommittee, WEA Hunter, Opera Hunter, Newcastle & Hunter Junior Chamber, and the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.

Meg was appointed to the University of Newcastle Alumni Advisory Committee in 2014 and has been a member of the 2NURFM Advisory board since 2007. She also sits on the Board of Hunter Youth 2020 and the Sight and Sound Committee for the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.

Her skills as a non-executive director are matched by her passion to progress the outcomes of the organisations she supports. She was recognised for this work when she was made a Life Member of Newcastle Business Club in 2008 after spending eight years as a volunteer board member transitioning the club to compete in a more competitive market.
